Contract to Review Timber Marketing and Sales by Forest Enterprise England

We are inviting tenders to review timber marketing and sales by Forest Enterprise England (FEE).

The contracted review will include:

• A desk based exercise to review evidence from the last ten years as to the extent to which FEE has successfully optimised its timber sale prices in comparison to relevant benchmarks.

• A SWOT analysis of FEE’s current strategy, practices, structure and capability in timber products marketing.

• A comparative analysis of alternative approaches to marketing timber products, drawing on private sector and international practice.

• Recommendation of options for developing the timber marketing strategy, practices, structure and capability of FEE, within the context of proposed statutory duties, wider Government policy goals and developing FEE organisational arrangements at that time.

• The submission of a report by 15 April 2016 with details of the previous four bullet points.
