For students who are not already in receipt of a diagnosis, the University of Hull encourage applicants to undertake an SpLD screener prior to their arrival at the university. However there could be instances where an SpLD may be suspected by a lecturer or personal supervisor and referral for an educational psychology assessment, with a subsequent report, may be beneficial in order for them to access support, either internally or externally.
