Level 3 Sexual Health Services

This advert provides notice that Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council will be holding a pre tender provider engagement event.

Local Authorities took on the responsibility for commissioning most sexual health services in April 2013, as part of their public health duties under the Health and Social Care Act 2012. This includes the provision of comprehensive, confidential, open-access level 3 sexual health services, with services for:

• Contraception (outside of the GP contract)
• Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing & treatment (outside of the GP contract)
• Chlamydia screening as part of the national chlamydia screening programme
• Psychosexual counselling
• Specialist outreach services for young people
• Sexual Health Promotion and HIV prevention services

Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton local authorities are looking to engage the market to help inform and shape the future commissioning (including procurement in accordance to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015) of these services (whether collaboratively or otherwise). We seek and welcome all interested organisations to participate in this event.
