Executive Summary

Proposals are sought by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) for supply of an EMC Test Chamber.

The EMC Test Chamber will be located in Lund, Sweden as part of the European Spallation Source

(ESS) - a multi-disciplinary, neutron-science facility under development by the European Research

Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC). The EMC Test Chamber will facilitate electromagnetic field immunity- and emissions- testing of electronics being developed for the ESS.

Specification and sourcing of the EMC Test Chamber is being undertaken by the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory UK, under the terms of its in-kind contribution agreement with ERIC. The scope of the EMC Test Chamber contract is for supply, delivery to Lund, installation and operator training.

STFC will consider either new or a used/refurbished EMC Chamber, assessed in accordance with the assessment criteria (below) for this requirement

Once you have registered on the eSourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. This is done by emailing ExpressionOfInterest@crowncommercial.gov.uk. Your email must clearly state: the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for; the name of the registered Bidder; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email. Crown Commercial Service will process the email and then enable the bidder to access the procurement online via the e-Sourcing Suite. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done. The Sourcing documents can then be assessed on the eSourcing Suite at: https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk using the instructions detailed in the Specification documents with Contracts Finder.
