description
West Northamptonshire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to deliver the works to extend Dallington Cemetery. The contract relates to the area of open space adjacent to the existing cemetery. The area is to be made ready to accept future burials by way of a vegetation strip, cut and fill earthworks to achieve a uniform level across the site and the construction of a main access spine road from the highway. The works will also include landscaping and fencing elements. The works do have ecological constraints that need to be observed throughout the contract period.
The Authority is running this process in accordance with the Council's financial and procurement rules and intends to conduct a competition following the restricted procedure in order to identify the most economically advantageous tender for its requirement. Whilst it is below the relevant threshold, the procurement process will preserve the principles of fairness, transparency and act in a proportionate manner.
Suppliers are invited to complete the SQ and to submit it. The Authority proposes to invite up to 5 (five) Suppliers with the highest scoring compliant SQ submission to the tender stage.
Form of Contract is to be JCT Standard Building Contract 2016 without Quantities.
Full details relating to the works are provided in the tender documents.
The programme of works is expected to take approximately 26 weeks.
The budget for these works is £650,000 + vat.
