Tender for Mobile Phone, Voice and Mobile Data Services

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) wishes to invite interested parties (“Tenderers”) to participate in a tender exercise to establish a Contract for the supply of Mobile Phone, Voice and Mobile Data Services to the Council (“the Invitation To Tender”). The tender exercise will be a Further Competition under Crown Commercial Services Framework RM1498, PSN Services, Lot 6 Mobile Voice & Data Services.

The Council currently has in the region of 3500 connections through its current provider.

There are currently a number of projects in the pipeline to introduce or further enhance an ‘agile’ or mobile working ethic, incorporating working from home and remote locations, this is likely to mean that overall connection numbers will stay the same as even though an individuals device requirements may change the number of connections used by that individual will not. There may however be a slight increase due to the aforementioned projects, requiring extra connections for officers.

The Contract is expected to commence on 1st April 2016 and will be for a period of two (2) years until 31st March 2018, with the option to extend for up to a further 12 month period until 31st March 2019.
