Safe and Warm Upgrade Scheme at Pattison, Shuttlewood

Bolsover District Council have recognised a need for investment in their housing stock and in particular those buildings which provide accommodation to elderly and vulnerable tenants. This project will see the upgrade of all blocks of ground and first floor flats at Pattison Street Shuttlewood which are currently dependent upon ageing and dilapidated communal heating services and have non-standardised shower / bathroom facilities. The Tenderer shall be the principal contractor and Main contractor for the project which shall encompass the heating upgrade programme, kitchen upgrade programme, full bathroom to wetroom conversion programme, installation of smoke / heat detection alarms (details supplied with specification as part of Annex B2) and improvements to fire stopping at each of the 42 no domestic flats within the scheme. In addition it is proposed to install a small platform lift (by others), in one block only, but Contractor may be required to alter existing store rooms, form shaft and create openings.
