description
Bolsover District Council aims to establish a framework of contractors for painting/redecoration works on both our Housing Stock and Commercial Properties. The Council is working as part of a Strategic Alliance with North East Derbyshire District Council and as such these frameworks will be available for use by NEDDC and other public bodies which may include Chesterfield College, Infirmary Road, Chesterfield, with no obligation on them to do so. Neither Council guarantees volumes of work offered through the frameworks. Each of the frameworks will be let as a two year framework with the option of two extensions of up to twelve months each.
Works will include items such as painting and redecoration of domestic properties and existing offices, some high-level redecoration services may also be required. These responsive small works are not expected to exceed a total of £50,000 per annum. Dependant on the requirements of the Councils materials will either be supplied by nominated supplier or by the contractor, the latter on an ‘open book’ basis.
Contractors will have to demonstrate that they will have capacity and organisation to respond within the Councils priority timescales.
The framework will consist of three contractors selected for this framework agreement. The anticipated number of suppliers on the framework will also vary in accordance with the business needs.
Call offs will be made in accordance with the instructions in this document. These may be by further competition or direct call off (following an assessment of capacity to deliver, capability for certain jobs etc.) and anticipated value of job and subject to Financial Regulations/Standing Orders.
