QU483 - External Tenant Engagement Review for the Housing Service

The Council requires a supplier for the provision of reviewing the tenant engagement practices across the housing service of Birmingham City Council.

The review is to ensure that all current processes are compliant with legislation and aligned to best practice of social housing providers in this specific service area. Then to identify improvements and develop an action plan based on weaknesses found in the review.

A service provider is required to review and evaluate the tenant engagement function within Birmingham City Council.

This will include measuring current practices and resources against the requirements set out in the Social Housing White Paper, the tenant engagement elements of the Buildings Safety Bill, as well as best practice from similar organisations. This review will cover the following areas: -

• oGovernance and Transparency
• oScrutiny
• oBusiness and Strategy
• oComplaints
• oInformation and Communication
• oResources for Engagement
• oCommunity and Wider Engagement

This contract will be for a period of 4 months commencing 12th July 2021.
