Great Crosby, Netherton, Maghull and Seaforth & Litherland APMS Alternative Provider Medical Services

North of England Commissioning support (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is managing this procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England Cheshire & Merseyside. NHS England (North) Cheshire & Merseyside are accountable for the provision of Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) in the Merseyside area and are proposing to commission 4 APMS's

Lot 1 This service is currently delivered at 3 sites: Crosby Village Surgery, Little Crosby Road, Crosby, L23 2TE: Crossways Surgery, Liverpool Road, Crosby, L23 0QW, and Thornton Surgery, Bretlands Road, Thornton, L23 1TQ.

As of the 1st July 2016 these practices had a raw patient list of 8201 and a weighted patient list of 8328.58

This contract is for 4 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year at the sole discretion of the contracting authority

Lot 2 This service is currently delivered at Maghull Health Centre, Westway, Maghull, L31 0DJ,

As of the 1st July 2016 this practice had a raw patient list of 3309 and a weighted patient list of 3251.92. This contract is for 36 months with the option to extend for a further 24 months solely as the discretion of Contracting Authority

Lot 3This service is currently delivered from Netherton Health Centre, Magdalen Square, Netherton, L30 5SP. As of the 1st July 2016 this practice had a raw patient list of 2381 and a weighted patient list of 2413.97. This contract is for 4 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year at the sole discretion of the contracting authority

Lot 4 This service is currently delivered at 2 sites which are Seaforth Village Surgery, Seaforth Road, Seaforth, L21 3TA; and Litherland Town Hall, Hatton Hill Road, Litherland, L21 9JN. As of the 1st July 2016 this practice had a raw patient list of 4662 and a weighted patient list of 5056.06 This contract is for a 4 year term with the option to extend for a further one year at the sole discretion of the contracting authority.

NHS England has a set price of 76.44GBP (80.59GBP less 4.15GBP out of hours opt-out) for the Capitation Payments per weighted patient. This capitation payment is designed to cover the Essential & Additional Services element of the contract as per the NHS (General Medical Services Contracts) Regulations.

In addition to Capitation payments the practice will be eligible for DES and QOF payments in line with GMS contractors

A bidder event will be held on the 24th November 2016 at 7pm.
