Contract for the Cleaning at Bedgebury

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for the supply of cleaning services at Bedgebury for a maximum of four years. Bedgebury is a leading visitor attraction and conservation resource on both a local and national level. Current visitors numbers are in the region of 350,000/annum.

Bedgebury has been awarded a number of accolades and one of the key objectives is to provide all visitors an excellent visitor experience.

We are audited annually by VisitEngland through the Quality Assurance Scheme and have regular visitor surveys conducted to help monitor and improve our performance.

Staff also conduct regular visitor audits on site and our toilet facilities are of paramount importance to our ongoing desire to offer this excellent customer experience.

It is expected that the cleaning contractor will provide a detailed plan to address all agreed items highlighted in either the VisitEngland or Bedgebury audits.

The current cleaning contract expires in March 2016 and we are looking to find an appropriate contractor who we can work with to continue providing an excellent visitor experience.

It is expected that the contractor will also work with us to provide business continuity during severe weather and other times when necessary.

Additional information: Interested suppliers will be expected to attend a bidder briefing and site visit day on the 3rd Feb 2016 between 9am and 12noon. We will not be able to accept tenders from suppliers who do not attend the day on the 3rd Feb 2016.
