description

Tenders are invited for the supply of Appropriate Adult and Triage Service. In order to fulfil its statutory duty, Derbyshire Constabulary requires the provision of a 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year appropriate adult and triage service for all detainees including those under 18 years of age.

The provision of services will need to be delivered at Police stations in Derbyshire. There is an expectation that calls for service will be responded to with an Appropriate Adult on site at the required Police station within 60 minutes of Police notification.

Whilst there is no prescribed staffing arrangement for delivery of Appropriate Adults services, this area of work is usually undertaken by a coordinated pool of suitably trained and supervised (OCN level 2 & 3 Skills for Volunteers or equivalent) volunteers.
