description
Essex Police College on behalf of the Chief Constable have scoped training for the Senior Leadership Team in relation to Critical Incidents, with a particular focus on training using Hydra software facilities. The requirement is for a proven Critical Incident package incorporating the areas from Essex Police High Priority Strategic Themes.
Deliverables and learning outcomes required from the package are:
| • | Accurately identify various critical incident scenarios and risk assess a critical incident. |
| • | Examine the effectiveness of early intervention into an incident where there is a likelihood of escalation into a Critical Incident. |
| • | Understand why the effectiveness of the police response to a critical incident may have significant impact on the confidence of the victim, their family and/or the community. |
| • | Develop strategies to implement a proactive intervention during a Critical Incident to maintain community trust and confidence. |
| • | Demonstrate and identify the importance of accountability, record keeping, decision logs and subsequent scrutiny. |
Essex Police College to scope a proven Hydra Package delivered in Essex to all of the Senior Leadership team. This numbers approximately 70 candidates.
To fully utilise and gain the benefit from this Hydra package there is a requirement for a professional facilitation team and Diamond group anchor to be included in the package.
