2016-17 Commissioning Intentions (Operational Plan & Five Year Sustainability and Transformation Plan)
NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group are currently reviewing its priorities and plans for the coming year and as a result are hosting our annual commissioning intentions event to capture your views, ideas and feedback on local healthcare services.
In line with NHSE Delivering the Forward View: NHS Planning Guidance 2016/17-2020/21, we are required to produce two separate but connected plans as entitled above. The five year Sustainability and Transformation Plan should be placed based and driving the Five Year Forward View and the one year operational plan should be organisation-based but consistent with the emerging five year plan.
We know that nationally there are a number of ‘must dos’ for 2016/7:
•Develop a high quality and agreed Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) •Achieve aggregate financial balance
•Develop and implement a local plan to address the sustainability and quality of quality practice •Get back on track with access standards for A&E and ambulance waits
•18 weeks wait from referral to treatment
•Achieve and maintain the two new mental health access standards
•Continue to meet dementia diagnosis rates
•Transform care for people with learning disabilities
•Develop and implement an affordable plan to make improvements
It is also your opportunity to hear about the progress we have made against our existing priorities and plans, have your say and chat to those who make the decisions regarding your local healthcare and to also participate in friendly discussions with patients, their carers and their communities’, voluntary and community sector representatives, provider organisations, GPs and other health professionals.
Join us for a sandwich and light refreshments from 12.00 p.m. on Thursday 21st January 2016 in the Richardson Suite at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion FC, 430 Birmingham Rd, West Bromwich, West Midlands B71 4LF.
