Medway Council Supported Housing for Young People

Medway Council is tendering for the provision of Supported Housing for Young People. A number of provisions were last tendered in May 2014 and awarded under a procurement process titled Housing Related Support Services: KENT-9GELD5. The provision related to Supported Housing for Young People was tendered in 2 contractual lots and awarded to two different economic operators. One of the economic operators has provided notice to Medway Council. The Council is making a fresh approach to the market to reprovision one aspect of the service as the existing provider will cease to deliver this aspect from April 2017. The service is accommodation based support services, for young people, in addition economic operators will be required to secure or identify suitable accommodation where the service will be delivered. The provision will be tendered via the Kent business portal with reference Contract: AFRF-3S7R5E: Supported Housing for Young People. Interested suppliers should register on the Kent Business Portal and await the release of the tender. The provision is being tendered using the Open Procedure therefore the project and tender documents will all become available on the tender portal immediately. The Council will work with the successful and existing providers regarding transition and mobilisation. The Council aim to appoint a provider early in the calendar year 2017, with a transition and mobilisation phase with full contractual delivery for the start of the new fiscal year. The contract length is 2.25 years to make this provision co-terminus with the other contracts awarded as part of the original procurement exercise.

The contract value has been calculated based on a contract length of 2.25 years utilising the annual budget with a + or - tolerance of 10% applied.
