Expression of Interest: Commercial Partner for Torbay Airshow

Torbay Council is intending to tender for a commercial partner to support the Torbay Airshow, in the first instance, with potential to partner the Council on other projects in the future. In order to give suppliers prior notification of the tender and to establish the capacity within the market, prior to issuing the tender, the Council is seeking expressions of interest.

After a very successful first edition, Torbay Council is looking for a commercial partner to support Torbay Airshow by drawing in income from sponsorship, trade stand sales, catering stand sales, corporate/ consumer experience options and to lead on the marketing of the event. Torbay council would also be keen to hear from commercial partners who also have skills in event production.

The first Torbay Airshow attracted some 150,000 spectators to the event and the aim is to grow attendance each year and benefit the local economy. The second edition takes place over two days 3rd and 4th June 2017 with a potential three hour flying programme each day as well as evening flying on the Saturday. There will be a full ground display on Paignton Green with military attractions as well as a fun fair and other points of interest.

The closing date for expressions of interest, which should be submitted through the Supplying the South West e-tendering portal, is Monday 19 September 2016 (12:00 Noon).
