Datchet Recreation Ground Pathways, SL3 9HR

Datchet Parish Council are looking to engage a contractor to carry out resurfacing works to Datchet Recreation Ground Pathways.

Path A

Works to take place on approximately Third of the total length of path B. Fill small cracks within pathway.

Path B

Stage 1 - Break out and excavate old tarmac, edging kerbs and soil to a depth of 300mm and allow to remove all surplus excavated materials and dispose off site.

Stage 2 - Supply and lay GEO Tex membrane over the whole specified area to stabilise and strengthen the ground. Supply and lay new edging kerbs to both side of new pathways. All kerbs are to be bedded and backed up with concrete of a suitable and appropriate mix, which will provide a retainer when the new fill material has been laid.

Stage 3 - Supply and lay Type 1 crushed concrete to a depth of 220mm to shape and level area, to be rolled and compacted with a heavy road roller to ensure a sound foundation.

Stage 4 - Supply and lay 20mm DBM base tarmac to a depth of 50mm to shape pathways, to be rolled and compacted with a heavy road roller.

Stage 5 -Supply and lay 6mm black DBM wearing course tarmac to a depth of 30mm for a finish coat and to be rolled and compacted with a heavy road roller to provide the required surface finish.

PATH A - Has been provisionally assessed as crack filling only.

PATH B- Has been provisionally assessed as 225 square meters, subject to measurements on completion.
