description

Leicester City Council requires a supplier that will deliver a Workplace and Neighbourhood Cycling programme in the City. This service would help reduce the number of people travelling in cars in Leicester City.

With a growing population in Leicester and its surrounding areas it is vital that the City Council does all it can to reduce the numbers of car trips being made in the City.

Cycling is an easy and healthy mode of travel. It's environmentally friendly and provides opportunities for social interactions and family time.

Encouraging people to cycle for journeys of five miles or less - which would include the majority of commuter trips in the City - will help reduce traffic congestion.

The programme will be rolled out with Leicester businesses, with a health focus, and it may extend into parts of Leicestershire.
