description

The Isle of Wight Council (“the Authority”) invites Tenders from suitably qualified providers (“Tenderers”) to enter into a Framework Agreement for the provision of Fire Extinguishers and Associated Equipment. The framework agreement is to run from 1st November 2016 for a period of four years (until 31st October 2020). The framework agreement is required to provide those named under agreement with a safe and cost effective service for the inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets in all its buildings and establishments, and the supply of any such new and replacement equipment, as necessary. The aim of implementing a framework agreement is to achieve value for money for public funded authorities as well as local schools and charities. The Authority recognises that together we have greater buying power and this in return will achieve better value for money; ultimately enabling the authority to support local not for profit organisations and achieve beneficial pricing for all those who choose to partake.

Additional information: The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2000 which came into force on 01.01.2005 applies to the contracting authority. If any Tenderer considers that any information supplied by them is either commercially sensitive or confidential in nature, this should be highlighted and the reasons for its sensitivity specified. In such cases the relevant material will in response to FOI requests be examined in light of exemptions provided for in this act.
