Provision of Hotel and Caravan Parks Address Data Early market Engagement

ONS is looking to identify and engage with industry partners to help bring third party data and/or expertise to access better and more relevant data sources. This will help improve the quality and usefulness of official statistics about our population, society and economy that decision makers, businesses and citizens so urgently need.

ONS is seeking to develop partnerships with organisations that hold address information about Hotels and Caravan Parks in the UK. Being able to determine a property's purpose is important as different types of establishment require different enumeration strategies. We require data that includes property addresses and an indication of their use so that we can improve quality and coverage of property classifications in the final address list.

The data will support the delivery of the 2021 Census for England and Wales and further develop the organisation's Address Index. The aim is to improve our coverage and effectively plan our field operations. The data will need to include;

• oUnit addresses
• oA description of the unit

The types of organisations that should consider contacting us include:

• oProviders offering substantial coverage of the whole UK market of either hotels, caravan parks or both.

Types of support could include:

• oSupply of bulk data extracts
• oSupply of relevant metadata and/or documentation on how data enters the system and how it is processed
• oProvision of aggregated data as defined by ONS
