description
Tenders are invited for the supply of services in respect of the provision and maintenance of a cashless parking system. The purpose of the system is to allow members of the public an additional way to pay for parking alongside traditional pay and display machines with regard to both on and off-street parking.
The Council operates parking enforcement and administration, via Chipside Notice Processing software, using in-house resources. The Enforcement Team comprises 19 Civil Enforcement Officers and 5 Supervisors and the Administration Team comprises 7 staff. The Council operates 10 Pay and Display car parks, incorporating a total of approximately 900 spaces and provides a total approximately 1,700 on-street Pay and Display bays in approximately 60 streets.
The Council intends that a resultant contract would be available for use by other Councils within the East Midlands as it sees benefits in a consistent service provision across the region.
The initial contract period is 3 years; the contract is estimated to commence 30/10/2017 and expire 29/10/2020. There will be an option to extend the contract for two years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs.
