description

NOTE: This notice was updated on 23 August 2018 for the following reason: This contract has not been awarded due to not receiving a compliant bid.The Northern Lighthouse Board's vessel NLV Pole Star is due to de-mobilise in a UK dry-dock (location to be confirmed) in September 2018 for a three week period to conduct its dry-dock, annual maintenance and surveys. Specification as detailed on pages 5 - 10.

The existing compressor/condensers have being failing on a frequent basis for a range of faults varying from electrical faults, pipe failures (refrigerant leaks), compressor failure. NLB have decided to invest in the replacement of both compressors/condensers with electrical controls to resolve these issues and provide more reliability with the plant. In addition we require an upgrade to the both cold rooms, including new door seal arrangement, new drip trays with heating and drains, new pipe insulation. This is to improve the insulation and to avoid drainage problems with the current evaporator drip trays/drains.

Existing Equipment:

The existing Refrigeration Plant consists of two self-contained air cooled compressor and condenser units (3-phase 440V). Two walk in cold rooms each of approximate volume of 5.4m³, one freezer room (-18degC), one fridge room (+2degC). Either compressor is sized to meet maximum requirements with the second compressor as standby. All associated piping, instrumentation and insulation. Drawings of current system on page 6.

Current Refrigerant: R-404a

Compressor Model: Danfoss MT40JH4EVESerial No: AF1005889006
