description

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and Request for Information (RFI) published on behalf of Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group. (The Commissioner).

The purpose of this PIN/RFI is to gauge market interest with the potential for procuring extended access provision as per the guidance from NHS England - https://www.england.nhs.uk/gp/gpfv/redesign/improving-access/ And the NHS Operational planning and contracting guidance 2017/19 - https://www.england.nhs.uk/deliver-forward-view/

The Commissioner is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to work collaboratively to deliver this service.

The contract will commence in March 2018 for services to be delivered by the end of that month. A full evaluation will take place following the first 6 months of service delivery.

Extended access should include the following elements:

  • Provision of routine (pre-bookable) and urgent (same day) appointments for all patients registered with a Greater Huddersfield CCG member practice
  • Direct booking available to all Greater Huddersfield CCG member practices, Local Care Direct, NHS111 and Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust - other organisations may be added
  • A range of services to meet the needs of the local population
  • A range of appointment types and clinical staffing
  • Be operational 365 days a year

Potential providers wishing to express an interest in delivering this service and participating in any future tender process are asked to provide the following:

  1. Details of any experience you have in delivering/managing

similar services.

  1. Examples of engagement with Greater Huddersfield CCG member practices and plans of future engagement
  2. Examples of working collaboratively with Greater Huddersfield CCG member practices and any plans for future collaboration
  3. Your proposed extended access service model must be uploaded as part of your response

A maximum of 2500 words (diagrams and charts additional)

Additional information: If you would like to submit a response for this service, please express your interest by registering on the Bravo e-procurement portal website: www.nhssourcing.co.uk, reference number pqq_29374. Once registered, potential providers will be able to complete and upload their submission. This procurement will be open from 2 June - 18 June 2017. For further information please contact brenda.powell@greaterhuddersfieldccg.nhs.uk.

Please note that an expression of interest in delivering the extended access service is not a tender response. An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in the tender process nor does it infer any special status on those providers who do submit an interest. The market response to this PIN will be used to inform the commissioner's view as to any future process to select the most suitable provider to meet its commissioning intentions.

This expression of interest does not commit Greater Huddersfield CCG to undertake the procurement of the extended access service.
