Online Agent Training_Suite

British Council Education Agent & Counsellor Training Suite is a comprehensive suite of training courses for international student recruitment agencies and counsellors whose role is to recommend the UK as a study destination to international students. The Suite will allow certification by British Council over five levels of study and it is designed to increase agency and counsellor capacity to promote the UK as an appealing study destination. It is also designed to promote and reward ethical and professional behaviour and to improve the quality of agents and education advisor by providing a British Council professional development route.

The purpose of this project is development of a refreshed online training suite hosted by the British Council, including the developing of training content and assessments, a replacement for the Global Agent List.

The training suite to be developed is to be fully hosted online, so that learners situated in any location with internet access can access courses at any time.

The objectives for carrying out this work are as follows:

-To increase the image of the British Council in the eyes of agents by providing more useful and up to date training, with more professional presentation;

-To increase the volume of training delivered by offering more flexibility (fully online training delivered on demand);

-More effectively support the professional development of agents/counsellors by providing more specific and applicable content, with a structure that supports continued learning at various levels; and -Better support agents in providing quality services to their clients and hence effectively working as key influencers for UK education.
