description
This request for information (RFI) is being made by HSCIC (the Health and Social Care Information Centre) and HEE (Health Education England) as joint leads for the National Information Board (NIB) Workstream 6 (WS6) ‘Leadership and Workforce Capability’. This workstream aims to ‘help the health and care workforce to make the best use of data and technology’.
We are seeking to commission a package of work that is likely to cover 3 areas:
| • | Developing a mechanism and framework for professionalising the health and social care informatics workforce |
| • | Establishing the competencies and standards for informatics across the workforce (including carers, patients, service users and the public) |
| • | Developing and publishing an online informatics competencies, career and qualification framework tool for health and social care |
Through this RFI we would like to test the feasibility of the requirement set out in detail below and how it could be met through potential delivery models.
We are seeking to commission this work through one contract, due to the amount of overlap and co-dependency. However, we are open to advice on alternative delivery configurations, or additional or alternative work which could also achieve the overall aims.
Additional information: If a supplier is interested in this opportunity, they should complete the supplier response found in the attached document and return it to procmail@hscic.gov.uk before 12:00pm on 25th January 2016.
Any questions about this opportunity should also be directed to the same email.
This opportunity is a market research exercise, and does not constitute any intention to offer or award a contract.
