Smart Business Grants

London Borough of Ealing (LBE) is delivering a project targeting natural resource efficiency (energy, water, raw materials and waste) and carbon emissions reductions for Small and Medium sized Enterprises. The project will be delivered over a 12-month period, with the possibility of an extension. The Assessments will take place throughout LBE in West London. LBE’s shopfront improvement grant scheme and Ealing BID have been engaged as part of a referral route for the programme.

The programme is broken into two phases:

Phase one: engage businesses and assess premises and operations for energy and natural resource savings potential. A report will be delivered to the business to demonstrate where savings and efficiencies can be made and businesses will be encouraged to take action to realise savings.

Phase two: if capital works are recommended in the report, the business can apply for a grant to complete improvements to the premises. Grant limits are set at 50% of the total project cost up to £5000. The consultant will follow up with the business to ensure they understand the recommendations set out in the report and to urge grant application as required.
