Brief description:

This role is for an ICT Operations Manager to work full time for a period of 3 months with a view to extend until August 23.

We are looking for an experienced ICT Operations Manager who will be responsible for management of:

• Day to day operations of the council's datacentre(s)
• Incident and change management for supported systems
• Conducting team member 1-2-1s
• All activities related to team attendance e.g. all leave requests, flexi-sheet submissions
• Ensuring all team members have a workplan and bookings within our resourcing tool
• Run a monthly team meeting on site - and also run daily team scrums to ensure everyone is aware of the work required from them
• Manage any and all escalations which you are informed of e.g. from team members or from elsewhere across the ICT Service
• Promote a positive team culture and team spirit through your behaviours and approach

An understanding of

• NetApp upgrades and replacement
• VMware Upgrades
• Computer Suite realignment
• Refreshing aging server 2008 estate.
• File Transfer Technologies

As our Enterprise Team are currently undertaking a number of high-profile projects in these areas that effect the whole council.

You will also be expected to attend Management Board meetings to represent your team and present a monthly performance report.
