Housing Water Treatment and Maintenance Services

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames (The Council) owns and manages circa 6,200 homes in the borough of Kingston. Kingston borough is boarded by Richmond, Sutton, Wandsworth and Merton, made up of four neighbourhoods and comprising sixteen wards. The maintaining of water services is to be carried out at all addresses included on a specific property list. These addresses are fully occupied and compromises of Multi-storey, single-storey and single properties and are known as General Needs or Sheltered Accommodation

The Council wishes to appoint a competent and qualified person employed by a registered organisation to carry out all necessary tasks to ensure that housing stocks stored water systems are compliant and remain operational.

The Contract is to include but not limited to the following roles and tasks to be carried out at all properties listed within the Tender documentation:

Initial Provision of Full Legionella Risk Assessments;

2. yearly Legionella Risk Assessment Reviews;

Annual Water Tank Surveys;

Year 1 and year 5 CWST Clean and Disinfection;

Taking of Legionella, TVC and E-coli samples;

Weekly Flushing;

Monthly Temperature Checks;

3. Monthly Descaling;

Calorifier inspections and Blowdowns;

Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) servicing;

Setting up of Reporting and Monitoring Systems;

General Maintenance of the water systems.
