The university requires two autoclaves to be used for general laboratory biohazard waste disposal (fluids, plastics, agar plates, etc.). Both autoclaves shall:
| • | Be fully installed and commissioned by 8th September 2023 |
| • | Come with minimum 12-month warranty |
| • | Come with maintenance contract |
Main autoclave:
| • | Minimum sterilisation of 121 degrees for 15 minutes |
| • | Minimum 200 litre capacity |
| • | Plumbed in |
| • | Square chamber |
| • | Pre- and post-vacuum system |
| • | Internal steam generator |
| • | Steam jacket |
| • | Vertical sliding door |
| • | Water softener discard box |
| • | Maximum External Dimensions of machine: Width = 760mm, Height = 1900mm, Depth = 1650mm (including pipework) |
| • | Must fit through doorway entrance (both inner and outer doors): 770mm |
