The Trust wishes to invest in a Trust-wide Patient Portal for patients under Acute and Community aspects of care. The Patient Portal will allow patients to:
| • | Securely view their own healthcare record (including results) |
| • | Update appointments or their records |
| • | Access communication (e.g. Appointment letters, discharge summaries, Outpatient Outcome letters) and care plans. |
Currently the Trust provides no electronic means for patients to access their health record to check appointments, make adjustment requests for time/date changes for appointments or planned surgery dates.
