Former Tenants Arrears Collection and Tracing Services

Lewisham Homes Limited (LHL) was created as an Arm's Length Management Organisation (ALMO) in January 2007. It is a non-profit making company limited by guarantee, and the London Borough of Lewisham (LBL) is the sole member. The organisation is responsible for managing around 13,200 tenanted and 4,800 leasehold properties. The stock is widely distributed throughout the borough and largely consists of low-rise flats although there are also some high-rise and street properties.

The proposed contract is required for Former Tenants Arrears Collection and Tracing Services.

Former tenant debts can arise through eviction, abandonment, death or voluntary vacation. Where these debts arise, Lewisham Homes recognises that there is a clear correlation between early recovery, pursuit of a debt and the level of success in recovering either all or a substantial proportion of outstanding former tenant debt.
