description
The aim of this contract is to deliver an assertive outreach service for domestic abuse and complex needs and manage a small emergency fund which is to be used to support clients meeting eligibility criteria. Complex needs for victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) include drug and alcohol dependency, mental ill health, learning and physical disabilities, trauma symptoms, victims of forced marriage, honour-based abuse and FGM, domestic slavery, trafficking, women whose children are in care (and not comfortable living in refuge alongside women with children).
The contractor will be expected to achieve enhanced engagement with victims/survivors based on a needs led, strength based and trauma informed way of working across services in partnership with other providers to meet the individual needs of victims/survivors. The focus will be on engaging victims who are not always high risk but have high complexity (because of historic and prolonged trauma) who place a high demand on services and are often repeat cases.
Please note that the tender award will be conditional upon the Council being successful in its bid for additional funding from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
