Expression of Interest - Support for Older People in Prison (North East Region)

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is working for and on behalf of NHS England & NHS Improvement North East & Yorkshire (the Contracting Authority) Health & Justice Team who wish to alert the market to a potential future quotation opportunity to deliver Support for Older People in Prison.

Services will be required to be delivered in HMP Northumberland, HMP Frankland and HMP Holme House. In addition, the successful bidder will also be required to provide advisory services to HMP Durham, HMP Kirklevington Grange and HMP Low Newton.

The anticipated tender live date for this procurement opportunity is 11 July 2022. It is anticipated that there will be a 3 month mobilisation period.

The contract term is 4 years with effect from 01 April 2023 with an estimated contract value of £294,000.

It is anticipated that TUPE may apply to this contract.

Note Reserved Contract

It is the intention of the Contracting Authority to reserve this procurement by location to support local recruitment, training, skills and investment.

Therefore, this quotation opportunity is strictly limited to providers based and / or who have substantive business operations within the County of Tyne & Wear, in line Procurement Policy Note 11/20 - Reserving Below Threshold Procurements; Reserving procurement by supplier location.
