The Council wishes to procure the following work:
The General Bridge Inspections (GBI) in November 2022 have highlighted some defects at Thrangholme Bridge and the following repairs are required:
- Vegetation and small tree removal throughout the whole structure. Repair walls behind the
vegetation.
- Replace spalled stone. Repair the areas of open and cracked walls throughout the whole
structure.
- Replace the missing coping stone.
- Replace/ repair and repoint area of missing and weathered masonry in the bridge arch
intrados.
- Rake out and repoint areas of open and cracked mortar joints and mortar joints containing
friable mortar with lime mortar.
- Clear out drainage.
The contractor is required to undertake an inspection to identify the repair works and undertake the repairs on site.
