Architect Lead Design Team Services for the Refurbishment of a Large School Building within the Borough of Southend on Sea

Southend on Sea Borough Council is inviting expressions of interest from an architect lead design team wishing to tender for a full design service though all the RIBA work stages.

SBC have an existing secondary school building which we are looking to convert to accommodate pupils of all ages with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) and also a range of commissioned services for pupils unable to attend school through illness, hospital service and behaviour outreach support

Pupils will be integrated together and will share lessons, staff and resources

The design team will be architect lead and co-ordinate, and, with the exception of the QS, the design teams will be made up of all required consultants. Southend on Sea Borough Council will procure the QS separately. The design team will be appointed under the RIBA standard terms and conditions, with minor amendments.

Experience in working on education projects covered by BB102 will be advantageous
