Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award.

Please note the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to Elsevier. The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal.

The HEE Pathology School aims to procure the expertise and services from a supplier specialising in delivering solutions to education and training issues in Pathology. HEE will work in partnership with the supplier to deliver on the priorities and Mandate deliverables of HEE with Pathology Trainees as outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan and People Plan. This will include:

Provision of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in medical education and upskill the Pathology workforce

Heath Education England [HEE] believe that Elsevier is the only organisation capable of providing support such as to meet specific requirements of the HEE national Pathology Programmes - individually and jointly. Elsevier is the only supplier with the requisite expertise and experience to assist HEE in fulfilling Mandate deliverables and actions of UK government policy including the Long-Term Plan and People Plan. Specifically:

The financial envelope for the contract is £19,571.00 inclusive of any VAT.
