Nottingham City Homes is seeking to appoint a contractor to refurbish its leisure centres across Nottingham City. The aim of the refurbishment works is to improve the male and female changing rooms and modernise the health suite by carrying out ceramic tiling and associated works and to generally give the facility a full facelift. The refurbishment works are intended to be carried out in a live environment, with the leisure centre still being open to the public and only the designated areas of work being closed off and segregated from public use. The projects have been split into two phases; Phase 1 - Male & female (Dry Side) Changing Rooms and Phase 2 - Health Suite. The packages of work comprises of the following: Phase 1 involves wall tiling, floor tiling, new suspended ceiling, new cubicles and vanity units, renewal of shower and WC area (Inc. new ambulant toilet). As well as associated mechanical and electrical fittings and connection works. Phase 2 involves wall tiling, floor tiling, new suspended ceiling, new vanity units and mosaic work to the changing and spa facilities. Complemented by the installation of advance monsoon shower facility, Alder salt sauna featured with salt block wall and an overhaul of the plantroom to ensure adequate water and power supply. As well as associated mechanical and electrical fittings and connection works. The estimated value of this contract is £500,000 and it is envisaged that it will start in June 2019 for a duration of 12 months. Please be aware that because of the urgent nature of this requirement, Nottingham City Homes has decided to go through an accelerated OJEU tender process (open procedure).
