description

The Authority are developing housing on a number of unused Authority owned sites;

Former Western School and Playing Field, Grimsby - 390 units
Former Lindsey Lower Playing Field, Cleethorpes - 96 units
Former Matthew Humberstone Playing Field, Cleethorpes - 40 units

The authority are keen to get 2050 ready with zero carbon emissions. The ambition is to reduce the reliance on mains gas and electricity, and how this can be viable in low value areas, and encourage other developers regionally to start including new technologies in their developments.

Innovative schemes could include (but not limited to);

minimising waste and maximising opportunities for recycling (e.g. grey water recycling.
increasing the production and/or use of renewable energy per property
purchasing local "green" energy, potentially through renewable district heating schemes
providing electric car charging points to each home which could be solar powered.
Introducing smart technology that can measure and limit energy waste

We encourage interest from all areas of the market from energy providers, to suppliers offering technology to reduce energy consumption or generate energy on a community or individual basis. This exercise allows all suppliers the opportunity to showcase their offer.
