description
Following the issue of the PIN 2020/S 155-380433 and the related marketing engagement exercise, the Council wishes to establish a single provider Concession Contract for the provision of Facility Development and Operation at Entry Hill. The Council is managing this procurement in line with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
The procurement process to be used is the Competitive Dialogue pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Regulations.
The existing use is a 9-hole course, which was opened in the 1980's and is set on a steeply sloping hillside located c1.6 miles south of the centre of Bath.
The site is 30-acre and consists of a shop/café, changing rooms and a car park for approx. 30-40 vehicles. It is set in a residential area and both the immediate neighbours and those with a view from the surrounding areas, overlook the site.
The golf course is a former landfill site, previously known as Lower Barrack Farm. Site location: Entry Hill, Bath BA2 5NA
The Contractor will be required to maintain and operate the facility with the aim of providing activity or activities that support the Councils required outcomes.
The Council is aiming to remove any financial burden relating to this site and potentially generate an income from the improved facilities.
