description
The works to reinstate the building and flats broadly include:
- Demolition of the roof over affected wing of the building, including structural elements such as timber and masonry above eaves level.
- Clearance of collapsed debris throughout the building.
- Internal strip out of all flats of the affected wing of the building.
- Internal strip out of all damaged or affected services.
- Note, some elements of the 2nd floor masonry may require demolition, subject to further testing to be carried out after the roof debris has been cleared.
- Reconstruction of the roof, reinstating the traditional timber, pitched, tiled roof.
- Reinstatement of weatherproofing and external architecture, as required.
- Reconstruction of masonry above eaves level.
- Reinstatement of internal and external finishes as required.
- Reinstatement of building services as required
