Food Hygiene Inspections

Councils have the responsibility as a Food Authority of delivering the execution and enforcement of the Code of Practice as issued under section 40 of the Food Safety Act 1990 (the Act), the Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013 and the Official Feed and Food Controls (England) Regulations 2009.

The purpose of this enforcement is to ensure compliance with legislation relating to food hygiene, food standards and imported food legislation in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (the "Council") area.

The initial Contract Duration will be 2 years, with two options to extend annually (2+1+1). It is anticipated that the contract will start on 1 November 2021
