University of Sunderland - Minor Works Framework

The Authority seeks to develop a framework agreement for the following

Minor Building Works Contractors

The contractors will be invited to tender for minor building works (subject to the lot value) works that the Authority wishes to undertake, these would be direct contracts for the Authority and will mainly consist of building refurbishments.

It is envisaged that there will be five contractors appointed for each lot and contractors can be appointed for multiple or single lots.

The authority has existing frameworks in place for Project Management, Architectural, QS Services, Structural Engineers, CDMC and M&E Engineering Services. The University has a single Major Capital Contractor for projects over £1.5m in value and is currently establishing a framework of mechanical & electrical contractors.

Funding Description

Any commissions under this Contract or framework maybe subject to external funding from bodies such as Arts Council, ERDF, Heritage Lottery Fund, LEP etc and the successful suppliers will be expected to work with the Authority on any funding applications where appropriate.
