Culture & Leisure - Longer Term Catering Concessions 2022

The Council is seeking to award 5 catering concessions contracts both mobile and kiosk units which can include hot and cold food and drink provision and/ or the sale of ice-cream (unless otherwise stated).

NOTE: All these concessions have different start and end dates, as detailed below.

Traders would be expected to start and to be on site until the dates shown:

The sites are located as follows:

a - Guildhall Square (19th Jan 2022 - 18th Oct 2022)

b - Portsdown Hill A7973 Ice cream concession only (15th March 20222 - 14th March 2027) c - Portsdown Hill A7973 (4th Jan 2022 - 3rd Jan 2027)

d - Eastney Esplanade (1st June 2022 - 31st May 2023)

e - Fox Box Kingston Recreation Ground (1st Jan 2022 - 31st Dec 2022)*

Site visits to Fox Box are available on Wed 10th Nov (3-4pm) and Thursday 11th November (08:30 - 09:30) - All site visit requests MUST be sent through Intend Correspondence.

Suppliers can bid for either one or more sites. If bidding for multiple sites, where the offer varies between the sites bid for then suppliers must clearly identify each site proposal in their responses to the quality questions on the application form.

We are seeking offers which are appropriate to the context of each site, which take into consideration other offers in that area and support a diversity of offer for the public. We will not introduce a concession which conflicts with a nearby trader and existing businesses.

The concession provider will be expected to:

• cover all costs associated with the running of the catering unit
• provide their own power to run any unit
• to remove any waste generated as a result of the catering unit from the site at the end of each day and provide suitable waste bins as necessary to manage waste from their sales

Please note: The Council are unable to accept stalls that sell alcohol

These contracts are deemed concessions as they generate an income to the Authority.
