Routine and urgent elective Ophthalmology care for patients with Age related Macular Degenerative Disease for Hampshire.

This service is commissioned to ensure sufficient and high quality local capacity for routine and urgent treatment for wet-AMD care for our population, initially and principally the foot print and population of mid Hampshire (circa 150,000 population) but also providing a flexible model of care to provide service as required to take the pressure off of hospital eye services HESs within Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight as agreed with commissioners.

A compliant mini competition was completed using the national Increasing Capacity Framework.

The contract is due to commence on 1st January 2022.

Additional information: NHS Standard Contract will be used as per the terms of the National Increasing Capacity Framework.
