HEE requires the provision of Transition to Consultancy - Virtual Course for Senior Doctors in Postgraduate Training to the specification and scope as outlined below:
The primary objectives of this procurement are;
| a) | To understand the true role of a consultant in the modern NHS and to prepare senior trainees for transition to consultant roles |
| b) | To gain an appreciation of the business aspect of healthcare provision and the role consultants play |
| c) | To learn the necessary self-management skills to ensure an effective work-life balance |
| d) | To understand the part the GMC plays as regulator and ensure compliance |
| e) | To develop presence as a new leader and identify strengths and strategies to address weaknesses |
| f) | To recognise the protocols and processes needed to deliver a safe and robust clinical service |
| g) | To understand and learn to work with the wider stakeholder agenda |
