In order to manage the Authority's current estate and to ensure our targets regarding energy efficiency, sustainability and generation, the Authority's requirement is to put in place an effective and efficient means of procuring its renewable solar power installations across its estate.

The successful bidder will be required to install a Solar Photovoltaic technology at Coal Authority managed sites. These should provide the most economical system in terms of installed costs and returns achieved for the Coal Authority and will be technically suitable, given available site area, structure and grid availability.

The successful bidder(s) will provide a price for design and installation of a solar photovoltaic array which in their opinion will provide the best financial return over a 25 year period given site conditions.

The process will be managed through the Authority's eTendering portal which provides a secure delivery mechanism and an auditable record of the process. There is no cost associated to using the portal and merely requires a short registration process.

Any issues, queries or problems with the eTendering portal needs to be addressed to BravoSolution Helpdesk on telephone number 0800 368 4850 or by email help@bravosolution.co.uk.

Any questions in respect of the Expression of Interest documentation are to be sent via the portal using the messaging facility within the system.
