WHPC00484 - Automatic Number Plate Recognition System for Car Parking - AWARD

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust wishes to purchase an ANPR system for their main public car parks. Primarily to reduce the use of tickets and the inherent staff input and maintenance connected to ticket issue. Additionally, we wish to provide supplementary and more flexible payment options i.e. card, telephone, online, retrospective/pre-pay to be able to provide concessionary parking simply to those who qualify. The introduction of the new methods has the following four main objectives:-

• A)Must provide a better client experience.
• B)Maximise revenue yield.
• C)Reduce consumable costs. Hard costs and staff input.
• D)Reduce maintenance costs.

In the longer term, the payment machines and other types of payment methods must be able to multi-task and accept payment for any services within the Trust that require payments e.g. prescriptions, maternity scan photos, concessionary passes etc.
