description

The requirement is for a digital scoring interview system to support HEE's recruitment to post graduate training programmes across the UK. Panellists will score and interview applicants via electronic devices such as tablets or laptops so that their forms are submitted with all required data fields completed. Panellists' written feedback will also be inputted electronically. We are looking for a commercial off the shelf systems that already has these capabilities and can be deployed minimal development.

Medical and Dental Recruitment and Selection (MDRS) on behalf of HEE, HEIW, NIMDTA and NES manages assessments/interviews of foundation and junior doctors, dentists, healthcare scientists and pre-registration pharmacists. As part of these processes, several million scores must be recorded just for recruitment interviews alone. These events range from small academic specialties involving one or two applicants, to larger specialties involving over two thousand applicants. Due to the move to a 'digital first' approach to interviews which was taken following the COVID-19 pandemic MDRS is seeking a system to support both digital scoring and virtual interviews in an integrated system.

MDRS manages a number of different types of assessment throughout the year, to support medical education, dental training, foundation year 2 standalone, healthcare science and pre-registration pharmacy.

This system will manage the scoring and virtual assessment/interview process of recruitment events.

The objectives of the system are to:

Improve processes for panellists, by reducing time spent by clinicians on administrative tasks.
Improve panellist experience by only logging into one system on the interview day.
Improve processes for administrators to deliver virtual interviews/assessments.
Establish standard operating procedures for interview/assessment scoring.
Automate quality checking processes, removing the need for a member of staff to manually enter scores and to then duplicate the checking process.
Reduce resource, time and effort involved in administration and score entry.
Reduce resource, time and effort involved in administration of interviews.
Automate the provision of feedback to applicants.
Reduce risk of human error.
