description

PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS AN RFI NOT A TENDER

In March 2022 Buckinghamshire Council was awarded £578,000 from the DEFRA Air Quality Grant scheme to renovate and electrify a 26 tonne RCV (including the installation of a new telematics system, provision of 5 year's worth of spare parts and workshop equipment and testing tools, a 5 year warranty, and training of RCV operation and maintenance Council personnel) It's estimated that the electrified RCV (eRCV) will operate on waste collection routes in the Aylesbury area from August 2023 for a five year period, initially covering 412 miles a week. The vehicle will operate in a rural environment and it's anticipated that a battery with a capacity of 395 kWhs will be required in order to meet the power demands associated with completing waste collections along these routes.
