description
This notice is being published to the market to inform Potential Suppliers that the Authority are undertaking a pre competition engagement workshop. ICT services are provided through two prime contracts via different suppliers, both contracts are due to expire in 2018. The in-scope Defra Group organisation are: Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), Environment Agency (EA) Rural Payments Agency, Natural England, Marine Maritime Organisation, Animal and Plant Health Agency.
The programme has been commissioned to transition the in-scope ICT provision across the Authority to a new, single and more effective Defra ICT organisation with core/common services and a supporting delivery model that will replace the current service provisions. The programme is delivering a new Defra Group ICT operating model primarily through new workstreams, each looking at delivering distinct services. This one is specifically looking at the End User Environment.
EUE services will be provided to Defra and associated organisations in the Defra Group. This procurement will follow the CPN process.
The current contracts deliver services through two main suppliers across 371 sites in the UK. The service is to be made available to 23,000 staff across the UK. Other Defra affiliated organisations that may choose to take services under the proposed Contract at a later date and would be considered to be in scope organisations can be found via the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-environment-food-rural-affairs
Defra will invite prospective suppliers to a EUE Supplier Event, which is expected to be hosted at the start of May 2017. We will use our best endeavours to ensure suppliers, who have registered interest, will be included in further correspondence regarding the procurement of EUE services.
A more detailed description of the service can be found in Bravo https://defra.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.html
It is currently proposed the core contract length will be 5 years with an option to extend by a further 2 years in yearly intervals at the discretion of Defra. The estimate total contract value is £131,000,000 for the total 7 year period.
Please note this is not a call for competition, and this notice does not act as formal notification of an upcoming opportunity.
